"Many people from all walks of life are struggling to adjust in a world of rapid change. Some are able to cope. Many are not.
Growing numbers are suffering burnout, stress-related diseases, depression, relational breakdown and suicide.
Everyone desires wholeness. We all want to be free of those things that lock us into the wounds of our past.
We want our quality of life to be improved in all aspects: physical, emotional, spiritual and relational.
Real Change comes from the inside out. It doesn't come from hacking at the leaves of attitude and behavior with the quick fix personality ethic techniques.
It comes from striking at the root: the fabric of our thought, the fundamental essential paradigms that give definition to our character and create the lens through which we see the world". (Steven R. Covey)

This therapy is based on the truth that my current situation is not the primary source of my emotional pain, but that the present situation triggers familiar painful emotions from earlier events which have not been dealt with. In "Healing Life's Hurts", the minister leads me through my early life experiences as prompted by my current crisis in which the present issues are resolved as the Truth is revealed in the past. It is similar to cognitive behavioural therapy and rational emotive therapy in that the foundational hypothesis identifies faulty and inappropriate thinking as the cause of inappropriate behaviour and attitudes
TheoPhostic Ministrywill be offered as the major therapy for the Healing of Life's Hurts and the establishment of permanent behavioural change. This is a groundbreaking Christian therapy that targets the roots of dysfunction. These "roots" create the lens through which the world is perceived: the essential paradigms determining beliefs, behaviours, attitudes and responses. During Theophostic Ministry a powerful spiritual revelation of Truth strikes at the fabric of our thought and establishes a new paradigm. The result: new and healthy responses and behaviors as a consequence of changed belief systems.
"Change - real change - comes from the inside out. It doesn't come from hacking at the leaves of attitude and behavior with the quick fix personality ethic techniques. It comes from striking at the root: the fabric of our thought, the fundamental essential paradigms that give definition to our character and create the lens through which we see the world". (Steven R. Covey)
Sections of the community specifically targeted are:
-adult survivors of sexual abuse;
-domestic and family violence victims and perpetrators;
-those suffering from stress, burnout and depression;
These groups of people are among the most difficult to rehabilitate and the object of significant Government attention and spending with limited success.
The "Healing Life's Hurts" Theophostic therapeutic ministry has established a record of success in the healing and rehabilitating of these community members.
Martin and Sheila have travelled to Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong conducting Prayer Ministry and Training. Asia is our nearest neighbour and suffers great need as a result of Ancestral, Family and Cultural sin, shame and rejection.
Martin and Sheila Elvidge have been ministering to Asians, mainly Chinese and Burmese, since 1986 and have taken an interest in their needs and spiritual issues.
