Bearing Much Fruit to His Glory
Isa 11:1  There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit.

We will be meeting together

"until we're all moving rhythmically and easily with each other, efficient and graceful in response to God's Son, fully mature adults, fully developed within and without, fully alive like Christ.

"God wants us to grow up, to know the whole truth and tell it in love--like Christ in everything. We take our lead from Christ, who is the source of everything we do.
He keeps us in step with each other. His very breath and blood flow through us, nourishing us so that we will grow up healthy in God, robust in love". (Eph 4: 12-16 Msg)

Meetings in 2018, 3 to 6.0 pm at Mount Hawthorn Lesser Hall,
197 Scarborough Beach Rd, Mount Hawthorn

Jesse’s Tree has its roots in the Old Testament, Its shoots in the new Testament, its fruits in the present day and our hope in the future as we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith as He fulfills His word
Isa 11:1  There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit.
And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him,
 the Spirit of wisdom
and understanding,
the Spirit of counsel
and might,
the Spirit of knowledge
and the fear of the LORD.

We gentiles were foreigners to the citizenship of Israel and since the covenants first came to Israel, we were also strangers to these covenants and far from God. However, now we are no longer foreigners and strangers but we are fellow citizens with the holy ones, together with Israel as citizens of the Kingdom of God.

The function of the Kingdom now in its spiritual form is to prepare us for the coming of the Kingdom in its physical form. Those who seek the Kingdom now and the power of the Holy Spirit have an opportunity to be changed into the image, the likeness, of Jesus. The citizens of the Kingdom are all family members and, as such, have a family resemblance to each other and to the Elder Brother and, of course, to the Father.

We are being taught to overcome even as He overcame. That is part of our training. We have received from Him a new nature. As the new nature grows in us, it produces a new character that is growing into the likeness of the character of Jesus. This is the fruit of the Spirit in us. As we begin to mature in character, the Lord provides circumstances for us to begin to develop the ability that is necessary to become a functioning citizen of the Kingdom. Ability is developed through the training of the Holy Spirit. Those who overcome will rule, reign, with Him during the physical Kingdom.

Those who rule with Him must rule like Him. We don't have the ability to do that until the Holy Spirit trains us. As we seek the Kingdom, His rule over us, we learn obedience and we do the will of the Father.

We can only do this as we walk in the Spirit, for the Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

In that day the root of Jesse, who shall stand as a signal for the peoples—of him shall the nations inquire, and his resting place shall be glorious. In that day the Lord will extend his hand yet a second time to recover the remnant that remains of his people, from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Cush, from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the coastlands of the sea.
